For Gaza....

My Dear Palestine..

Decades have past but how have you been
Suffering still..I can see from within
My apologies my dear for not asking before
I had long forgotten what the fighting was for
My memory blocked from hurt and grief
But that is in the past so I shall be brief
You ask about the Arab World today?
Must I reply? For it kills me to say
Our leaders grown weary, some have past away
Still eating each other, more and more everyday
But please don't despair, my dear Palestine
It is the Age of Aquarius that does now shine
The age of identities; where groups shall fight
For a cause that is pure and will see the light
So be patient my dear for the end is near
The voice of the people you shall now hear
Coming together with hunger in our eyes
Demanding your freedom we will now rise
An Arab Nation once and for all
United we stand, divided we fall

I like the poem and I have read it more than once so that I can come up with a better comment but I couldn't.
I don't think I can write polictical poems.. I think I will just laugh at myself after 2 lines because it is totally not me!

tantalize...welcome..thanks for thinking I was too young!..but I wasn't..with that said..for such an educated and charming person..I would've thought you'd be more of a humanitarian too...Sadly..some people call Kuwaitis the Jews of the Gulf..and I think that's awful..but that goes under generalization again...We may have seen the nasty side of Palistinians or Iraqis for that matter..but are we so bitter and our hearts so cold that forgiveness for humanity's sake doesn't lurk deep in the heart of the tantalizer?

loved the poem, if u got more political poems id like to read them if u dont mind

however, i dont see it as a humanitarian subject, rather a religious one

i will never fully understand the whole "united arab nations" for it proved throughout history that arabs never get along.. pacts, treaties, united tribes through marriage, maybe .. but united from the gulf, to the shores of morroco, never

i dont see WHY neither .. maybe its just me .. but the emphasis on religion on all the arab world issues isnt that significant, which to me proves that its just show, and everybody trying to get the best bargain out of the deal rather than "fighting for a cause"

simply, i agree with tantalize that arabs will never be unified

note: arabs.. not muslims ;)

I liked your poem and the way in which you have expressed your emotions.

However, I like many others, have long buried the dream of a unified Arab nation.

Once bitten, twice shy.
