Looking for Some Hot Stuff.....
So here I am single and care free...got a vacation coming up and I've reached the stage where I've taken those spinning earth balls...closed my eyes...spun them and then saw where my finger landed as a way to make up my mind on what destination to travel to!!...Two times out of three I got Canada for some reason...but that just seems too far and too cold...(even if they think it's summer time there..it just aint my type of summer!)...I got free accommodation to go to Canary Islands but then didn't make up my mind fast enough and so I lost it...Besides...who wants to be in a romantic place like that and be solo..yuck...I mean I know we can all brag that we're happy being single and carefree..but there's just so much a single gal's heart can take and watching love birds get all lovey dovey on the beach while I lay on a sunbed alone, reading a romantic novel under the boiling sun while sipping on a cocktail as I quench my thirst..then ending up reading the sentence over and over again 'coz I'm distracted by the romantic couple who have now decided to go skinny dipping...oh no...I DON'T THINK SO!...Problem is...I have to make up my mind where to go soon since my vacation starts in June...One choice was to spend a week in Thailand in a five star luxurious spa that would include all the rituals of a perfect reviving vacation (massages, facials and everything else for a "spoil me to death why don't you!)...I've been told that Mel Gibson goes there...now wouldn't that be a summer of all summers..(would I ever come back?!) Naturally, it's quite expensive but sounds so soothing I practically drooled when I saw the website...then there's Italy...ahh yes...I've been advised not to go there alone since the men are very forward in their approach...uh..Seriously...you think?..ok...so how is that different from Kuwait?!! Besides...who wouldn't mind being approached by an Italian??!!! Still..I guess it would be more fun with a bunch of friends..but then again knowing that traveling brings out either the best or worst in people..it's a risk I don't want to take...Bottom line...if you had two weeks to travel wherever you wanted...Where would you go and why?

Netherlands, I like the place, I have my place, I sit and relax and be lazy.
what makes it different from the rest of Europe?
I lived there so I know people plus I know how to be Dutch, so am comfertable spending time in that place.
Dear MissCosmo
Have you ever been to Greek Islands?
If not, then give it a try, there are a plenty of them, but the most intersting ones are
Mykonos
Rhodos
Santorini
corfu
each one got it's own taste, but it's better not to go SOLO :)
never stay in Athens
or if you prefer, you could go to Cyprus, I recommend Limassol, or Aya Napa for it's nice beaches
I second Lamya, I think you should go greek island hopping. And you can go solo and still have a blast, everyone is excessively friendly and hot (the down2eartch hot ily they dont even know it). Latshoofen banat'hum their waitresses are the cutest munchkins ever, ask them a question and they'll sit down and bring you a complimentary drink.
A plus on the greek islands: food/clubs/taxis are VERY reasonable priced. Tiwakilay 3alallaah and go go go :>
P.S save this number: +306976210882. Save it as "Gi63a Mr.Taxi Corfu" If you ever meet Gi63a boy I will be set for life with ad3eetich :p
check your email girl
Purg...if I end up there..I'll need some references then..
Lamia...I've always prefered Cyprus to Greece...the thing is..I had a bad experience in Greece..I was in Rhodes with my sister...and for some reason..and I am not kidding when I say this...I couldn't walk on the street without having my butt pinched!! It didn't happen just once..it kept happening everytime I stepped out of the hotel...what pissed me off is that they wouldn't do that to my sister...I couldn't understand it...and she ended up walking behind me just to protect my behind....I just couldn't wait to get out of there in the end...and needless to say...my behind was black and blue!! so going alone there is seriousy too much for me...unless I walk around with metal armor!
jan6a habeebti...I've saved the number but still not sure I'd wanna do Greece! I'll let you know though...but who's number did I actually save??...details please..:)
CD..check your email too...I can't stop smiling!!...how sweet!
Personally, my favourite holiday experience was on a carribean 5 night cruise.
Basically, you have your room, with 24 hour free service, cinemas, shows, casinos, clubs, shopping, amazing dinners, different activities....thats all on the ship.
And they take you to a different island everyday, where you can choose from a list of activities to do.
At the same time, you end up making friends with everyone on the ship, so even if you go alone, you still have fun.
What I also liked, is that you pay all inclusive, and then you dont have to worry about anything, you just relax.
Of course there are many types of cruise lines, and many countries to go to.
Guess if you like the idea, all you need is to research which is to your tastes :)
dubai for 'fun' and being nearby .. but im sure that kind of money can be spent on a better 'trip'
personally thu id be interested in seeing what Spain has to offer especially with the whole historical thing it has going on .. not the beaches, thank u very much
im talking qor6oba (corduba? sp? madri) for example, but then again i loves me a hots climate
am sure a decent search online can get u loads of stuff to check out over 2 weeks
then again, this is europe, schinsglinsgsh2jh-visa or whatever its called would allow u to hop in spain (example), fly to italy (example) and back from italy to kuwait.. and the price of hops would technically be so insignificant u wouldnt know it (assuming ud do ur own tickets and accomodation online)
trick is in travelling lightly i reckon
just thinking out loud here since i promised mom a trip to italy, but i think squeezing in qor6oba would be aces
If you're gonna go alone, then go to New York.
Australia!
Cause it's far and I don't think anyone of the commenters mentioned it ;P
two weeks??.... i'd spend a week in San Fransisco 'cos it is such a beautiful city, with amazing people and incredible sights....
Then, I'd hit New York for a week and live it up! :D
miya...oh my God...that would be my ultimate favorite...but I've always thought of that as a romantic thing to do and the thought of doing it alone sounds too depressing to me...besides...I think two weeks to go across the atlantic is too short....I'd rather I had a longer vacation for that...don't you think?
I have to admit that the idea of Spain is very appealing and I'm leaning towards that more than any other place...visiting Qurtuba...Andalusia...and all that history sounds brilliant!...but I don't think I'd want to hop to Italy too...Spain has too much to offer and I'd rather spend it all there to get to see everything...hopefully that's where I'll end up and maybe I'll get inspired and write some poems while I'm there! Ahh history!
hind...I've been to Veinna too many times so I'd rather I did something different this year....Turkey was second in line...so we'll see!
sexy...Ahhh...manhattan...now that's a happening place...but again...the thought of crossing the atlantic for just a two week holiday sounds too hectic for me..I'd rather it was shorter...now if I get to go there for business and mix it with a vacation..that would be excellent! But wishful thinking!
Krispy...hi ya girl! Miss ya babe!...Frisco sounds exciting too...I honestly wish it wasn't so far...goodness...it'll take me two days to get there..and another two days to get over jet lag...of course if I had a month to spare that would've cool! (we simply must get together soon girl!)
NuNu...LOL! True..true...I'm invited to a wedding in Australia in December...so hopefully I'll get to spend winter in their summer!!!
Personally, I'd go to Switzerland. We have a flat there so I'd save money on accomodation and I know my way way around etc.
But Italy is always good. Beautiful country, great museums, great shops, great food and Italians are very friendly. I always have a fab time when I'm there. I've never been there by myself but I usually spend a big chunk of my day alone anyway! It's the only place that makes me feel comfortable to wander off by myself.
Go to Iran its only an hour away lol just kidding.
Try Sharm Al-Shaikh, near by and a great place to get a nice tan :)
